About Us

Napaaq Designs was founded in 2024, with the desire to provide custom material services (Laser engraving and additive manufacturing) to the people of Alaska.

My name is Lance “Napaaqtuq” Hathaway and I grew up in the small village of Nuiqsut Alaska. (Pictured below)

Being raised in a very remote and rural area of Alaska, I found an interest in being able to fix and tinker with just about any tool or machine I was able to get my hands on. I spent my time learning to take apart engines, performing repairs on computers, and having the skills neccessary to be self sufficient with the tools I had available to me.

That is what inspired me to pick up the skills to utilize 3D printing and laser technologies to make custom parts and products that you just can’t get from your big box stores.

Here at Napaaq Designs, I hope to help bring your imagination and wishes to reality! I believe nothing that can be imagined cannot be made!
